Commercial Real Estate Reporting and Billing Clerk


Macdonald Sager Manis LLP is presently recruiting a Commercial Real Estate Reporting and Billing Clerk to join our Commercial Real Estate team. 

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Ability to review commercial real estate files in order to prepare reports to lenders, borrowers, purchasers and vendors on closed transactions.
  • Familiarity with reading Title Searches, Writ Searches, PPSA Searches and Corporate Searches.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and commercial real estate purchases, sales and mortgage transactions from start to finish.
  • Corresponding with clients and other law firms with respect to issuing accounts, following up on undertakings, discharges of mortgages and PPSA registrations and release of holdback funds following closings of commercial real estate transactions.
  • Assisting with billing on transactions, posting disbursements to files and clearing trust funds prior to closing files.
  • Assisting with scanning, copying, emailing, and/or binding reports, with all pertinent ancillary documents to be included in reports.
  • Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent oral & written communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Be a self starter who is capable of working both independently and in a group setting.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Word, Outlook and Teraview – familiarity with PCLaw is an asset but not a requirement.
