Both our summer law student program as well as our articling student program are structured to provide students with a challenging and stimulating environment that allows students to work with lawyers in many areas of discipline.

Summer Law Student Program

Each year we provide the opportunity for two students to join our firm’s summer student program.

We ask those wishing to submit applications for our summer student program that they do so, by early January; with interviews to follow, the end of January.

Articling Student Program

During the articling term, our firm has a formal rotation process, allowing students to work both in the corporate commercial and litigation departments.  Students should be prepared to work with their fellow articling student, and be part of the team as a whole.

Students will receive ongoing performance feedback & career guidance from both your assigned mentor, and Articling Principal. Because of the size of our firm all lawyers are accessible to students during their articling term; this also allows students to receive direct guidance from all lawyers they may receive assignments from.  Mid-rotation reviews are provided to our articling students to both assist the student and the firm.  The purpose of the review is to provide the students’ progress to date, and in turn provide on-going resources to the students; as well as to assist our firm in order to provide the most beneficial articling experience for our students.

We strive to offer employment to these students who have completed their articles with us and we look forward to their development here at Macdonald Sager Manis LLP.
